Could the 'Mason Mount curse' finally be over for Chelsea fans this season?
That is the hot topic among Blues' supporters after Mauricio Pochettino's side were drawn against Middlesbrough in the Carabao Cup semi-final draw following a win on penalties over Newcastle United in midweek.
With Liverpool and Fulham going head-to-head in the competition's other last-four tie, Chelsea supporters are already beginning to contemplate the possibility of a final showdown with Jurgen Klopp's men at Wembley.

For those of you unaware, Chelsea fans have long been convinced that it is England international Mount who has hindered their chances of success in major finals over the past three to four years.
In a staggering record, the now Manchester United man has lost six separate finals since 2019, with his barren run dating back as far as Derby County's play-off defeat four years ago against Aston Villa.
Following that, the 24-year-old has lost three FA Cup finals all for Chelsea, as well as the 2022 Carabao Cup final against Liverpool along the way.

But perhaps the most painful will be the defeat he endured with England back in 2021, as Gareth Southgate's side lost on penalties to Italy in the Euro 2020 final.
But fear not, with Mount having now moved to Old Trafford earlier this summer, fans are starting to believe the hex on their team over recent years has finally been lifted.
Writing via X, formely known as Twitter, a user by the handle @SimbaChelseafc wrote: ''Breaking the penalty shootout curse with a rhythm reminiscent of Mason Mount's debut – the sweet sound of victory echoing once more. May this be the start of a winning melody.''

@A_Kovah added: ''Just clocked we might finally win a domestic final without Mount Wembley curse holding us back.''
@itsNotDominick said: ''We might end up in Wembley with Palmer instead of Mount and the curse may finally be broken.''
Mount's fortunes have hardly improved at United, with the midfielder's start to life at Old Trafford interrupted by injury and, when he has played, he has struggled to recapture the form that convinced Erik ten Hag to spend over £55 million for his signature in the summer.
