A forgotten Chelsea player appeared to call out his former club after fans asked why he was sat in the Manchester City end for the game at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.
The two sides met in an evening kick-off, with City coming from behind to win 3-1 and move ahead of Chelsea into fourth place by a single point thanks to goals from Josko Gvardiol, Erling Haaland and Phil Foden after Noni Madueke put the visitors ahead.
The game was shown live on Sky Sports and there was a former Chelsea player watching the game in the stands - with Danny Drinkwater in attendance for the fixture.

However, the ex Leicester City midfielder was in the home end as opposed to the away section and he ended up causing a huge stir amongst Chelsea supporters online.
Around three minutes into the match, Drinkwater posted a picture of the scoreboard on his Instagram story - posting a series of eye emojis.
In a corresponding post, Drinkwater, a Manchester United academy product who played just 23 times for Chelsea across five years after a £35 million transfer, confirmed he was indeed sat in the City end.

But after being met with questions from Chelsea fans asking why he wasn't sat with their supporters, he revealed that his attempts to get tickets through the club were unsuccessful.
In his next post, Drinkwater wrote: "For the @Chelsea fans asking why I'm in the City end... I asked the club for tickets!?! I didn't receive any."
The 34-year-old also added a circus emoji at the end of his post, which led to a flurry of reactions from Chelsea fans.

One fan on X said: "If really he wanted to support the club then I don’t see any harm in him buying a ticket btw."
Another added: "He took enough from the club. They gave him a nice retirement package."
A third commented: "The guy using Clearlake hate to make people feel sorry for himself."
A fourth user wrote: "Thinks he had Drogba/Lampard/Terry influence."

A final person weighed in, saying: "Who does Danny Drinkwater think he is exactly?".
After loans with Reading and Kasimpasa, Drinkwater retired from football in October 2023 and embarked on a career in property development.
