Leicester are facing an enormous potential Premier League record points deduction.
Upon finishing at the Championship summit and securing promotion the Foxes are facing a difficult summer.
The club look likely to lose manager Enzo Maresca, who masterminded their promotion, to Chelsea while they could also be the latest club to be hit with a sizeable points deduction for breaching financial rules.

The Telegraph’s sources have estimated the club’s punishment could be anything between six to 15 points.
In turn, Leicester could face a larger deduction than the Premier League record nine points Portsmouth were docked back in 2009, which left them rooted at the bottom of the table.
In March, Leicester were charged with breaching the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules over a three year period ending in 2022-23.
The Foxes responded by releasing a statement to confirm they have opened legal proceedings against the Premier League and Football League before posting their account for the 2022-23 campaign, revealing a loss of £90million.

Elsewhere, with Maresca likely to leave, Leicester will have to recruit a replacement, with the Telegraph having listed former Chelsea and Brighton boss Graham Potter and West Brom’s Carlos Corberan as two candidates likely to be in the mix.
On Monday it was widely reported that Chelsea had been given permission by Leicester to speak to Maresca about succeeding Mauricio Pochettino at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues’ co-sporting directors Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stewart were reported to be flying to Marbella for face-to-face talks with the Leicester boss.

Maresca’s release clause at Leicester is said to be between £8million and £10million, with an agreement between the clubs expected to be straightforward provided Chelsea meet that clause.
Ipswich’s Kieran McKenna was among those being linked, after guiding Ipswich from League One to the Premier League in two seasons.
Meanwhile, Brentford’s Thomas Frank and Brighton’s Roberto De Zerbi were also believed to be leading candidates for the job.
