Chelsea's tweet about Kai Havertz from 2022 emerges and it's aged terribly

Kai Havertz starred as Arsenal beat Chelsea in the Premier League.

Chelsea’s tweet about Kai Havertz has aged terribly after their horror defeat against Arsenal.

Mauricio Pochettino’s men were blown away by the Gunners at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night.

An early strike by Leandro Trossard gave Arsenal the perfect start before Havertz and Ben White both scored twice in the second half to secure a 5-0 victory.

As a result, Arsenal are now three points clear of Liverpool at the top of the Premier League.

After the match, a tweet about Havertz by Chelsea’s official account from back in 2022 re-emerged.

It read: “Kai Havertz is the best on earth.”

Less than two years later, the German has haunted his former club by netting twice on Tuesday night.

Havertz left Stamford Bridge for Arsenal last summer in a deal worth a reported fee of £65 million.

Since then, the 24-year-old has managed 12 goals and five assists in 47 appearances across all competitions for the Gunners.

Speaking after the match, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta praised Havertz, he said: “He was unbelievable in all departments and obviously when you have a nine score two goals the way he scored, his contribution was great and a question about scoring against Chelsea for him, but I’m sure he’s very pleased.”

When asked about the team’s performance, Arteta added: “Yeah, a big performance, collectively and individually I thought we were really good against a really good team that was in great form, and they were going to ask us a lot of questions, and we responded really well.

“From the start of the game I think we were really determined, really flowing, playing with a lot of courage and making things happen. Yeah, really happy with the result, it’s a big day for our supporters as well so really happy with that.”

Arsenal will be back in Premier League action this weekend when they take on fierce rivals Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
