Enzo Maresca is set to join Chelsea from Leicester City following the departure of Mauricio Pochettino, and it has already been revealed exactly where he wants to strengthen the side.
The Italian manager is in pole position to become the next manager of the Todd Boehly era after it was confirmed Pochettino would be leaving due to 'mutual consent' last week.
Chelsea had recovered well after a difficult season and ended up finishing a highly respectable sixth considering they spent the majority of the season fighting to be in the top half.

Pochettino released a statement to Chelsea fans after his rather surprising exit.
"Thank you to the Chelsea ownership group and Sporting Directors for the opportunity to be part of this football club's history," he wrote.
"The Club is now well positioned to keep moving forward in the Premier League and Europe in the years to come."
Maresca on the other hand also had an impressive season as he took Leicester back to the Premier League on the first time of asking.

However, the Championship table toppers are expected to be hit with a potentially record-breaking points deduction which is likely a factor for why Maresca is making the switch to Stamford Bridge.
One of the major criticisms of Todd Boehly's time at Chelsea is the sheer amount of bodies he is bringing in, and with the expected appointment of Maresca that doesn't look likely to change this summer.
According to Fabrizio Romano, there are five key positions Maresca will be keen to strengthen at Chelsea, despite their already large squad.
“Mark my words it will be a busy summer for Chelsea. They will make smart movements, not completely crazy things this time. A goalkeeper, defenders – at least one CB could be two, busy with the striker position, could also be a winger!," the Italian journalist claimed.

Maresca is another manager from the school of Pep Guardiola, as the Italian spent the 2022-23 season as the City boss' assistant manager following Mikel Arteta's move to management.
Chelsea fans will be hoping Maresca can implement a similar blueprint to Arteta who despite going trophyless in the last few seasons has certainly improved the atmosphere at the Emirates.
