Cervantes took to her official Instagram account on Thursday that the pair had decided to 'distance', but that they would still remain close as family.
She wrote: "With Enzo today we say distance from each other. But we will always be family and support each other through everything.
"Because there are two kids in the middle that need a lot of our love for them.

"I know the person and excellent father Enzo is, and the heart he has. And that's enough for me. They don't want to create wars where there aren't any."
Argentinian journalist Julieta Argenta claimed on Twitter that the Chelsea midfielder had initiated the separation as he wants to 'live life on his own'.
She wrote: "He told her he wants to live life on his own. They're still family, but he feels the need to experience the stage he skipped by choosing family early on."
Fernandez himself has yet to provide public comment. SPORTbible have contacted the midfielder's representatives for comment.

The 23-year-old is into his third season at Stamford Bridge after signing for a British transfer record fee of £105 million in January 2023 - a record which still stands but could be overtaken as a result of the bonuses included in Moises Caicedo's initial £100 million move from Brighton to Chelsea.
He began the season as a regular starter under Enzo Maresca but was left out of the starting XI for the 2-1 victory over Newcastle and 2-1 defeat to Liverpool.
