Chelsea fans have labelled the club as ‘finished’ after reports that they are set to hire a controversial figure from rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
On the pitch, Chelsea have had a dismal season so far as they currently sit 11th in the Premier League table.
Last week, the Blues were beaten 4-1 by Liverpool on Wednesday night before suffering a 4-2 defeat against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

On the back of that defeat, manager Mauricio Pochettino is now under increasing pressure to get the best out of Chelsea's expensive squad.
Chelsea fans are not happy with what they are seeing on the pitch and an imminent decision off the pitch has also left them disappointed.
According to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea are set to hire Spurs’ former commercial chief officer Todd Kline.

Romano wrote on social media: “Understand Todd Kline is set to join Chelsea in the next months after leaving Tottenham role as commercial chief officer.
“He’s been placed on gardening leave as reported by @Matt_Law_DT — told he will join Chelsea right after. Agreement almost done with #CFC.”
Kline could be a controversial appointment due to the fact that he vacated his role at Spurs due to the failure to secure the naming rights for the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Back in 2021, the American was hired after he played a key part in the 18-year-long naming right for NFL side Miami Dolphins’ stadium in 2016, with Hard Rock parting ways with £180 million to secure the deal.
However, Kline has failed to secure such a deal with Spurs as their stadium is still without a partner having opened in 2019.
In addition, according to the Daily Mail, Kline’s time in North London has seen quite a large turnover within his department.
It has been claimed that many long-serving and well-liked members of staff all left the club.

Reacting to the news, one fan wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter: “This is their solution, it’s gonna be a long long couple of years.”
Another tweeted: “Another L for Chelsea. Hasn’t been able to secure naming rights for the stadium for 5 years now.”
A third fan added: “Couldn’t secure naming rights with Spurs so he’s evidently more than qualified to come to us.”
Someone else simply wrote: “FINISHED.”
