As for the Blues, Mateo Kovacic and Bernardo Silva fluffed their lines from the spot as the Spanish giants booked their spot in the next round of the competition.
Rodri didn't take a penalty, but he spoke to the press following his side's defeat as he hit out at Real. Check it out below:
"I saw only one team today, to be honest," he said. "They defended and they knew how to suffer, and we know how tough Real Madrid is. But, in my opinion, we should go through, in terms of chances and everything. It’s the trickiness of the competition. They know how to play, congratulations to them."

A fourth said: "This cry-baby said the exact same thing when Scotland beat Spain. He seems to think everyone should just lay down and let their opponents win."
A fifth commented: "Isn't this guy an Atletico Madrid graduate???"
It's not the first time Rodri has lost his cool after a defeat as he gave a similar interview after Scotland lost to Spain in a Euro qualifier.
He'll look to recompose himself ahead of Man City resuming their campaign on Saturday when they face Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final.
