Nine teams have now been eliminated from the Champions League following the conclusion of round seven of the new league phase of the competition.
The new Champions League format raised eyebrows ahead of the new season, with a new 36 team league replacing the traditional four team group stage.
Clubs who finish in the top eight after eight games will automatically qualify for the latter stages, with those from 9th to 24th entering a play-off round, and the remaining 12 exiting the competition.
Liverpool have dominated the new format, with a table topping 100% record heading into the final matchday against PSV subsequently booking their place in the next round already confirmed.

However, Arne Slot's side aren't the only club with their fate decided with nine clubs now mathematically out of the competition with one game remaining.
It's not just a premature exit that some clubs risk, with Swiss side Young Boys and the Slovakian underdogs of Slovan Bratislava sitting without a single point after seven games.

Man City on the brink of exit
The clubs who must win in the final matchday next week include, Shakhtar, Dinamo Zagreb, and staggeringly Manchester City who lost 4-2 to PSG despite taking a two goal lead.
Pep Guardiola's side took a 2-0 lead early in the second half through Jack Grealish and Erling Haaland, but were quickly pegged back level with PSG going on to take all three points.

The result puts City in the precarious position of needing a win their final game of the campaign against Club Brugge at the Etihad.
City head into the game two points behind 24th place Stuttgart who will face a PSG side that still need points on the board to guarantee progression.
