West Brom manager Carlos Corberan was shown a straight red card and sent to the stands after just five minutes of his side's Championship fixture against Southampton.
The Baggies are in a celebratory mood after it was confirmed on Thursday that the club is now under new ownership.
The club has been taken over by a company co-owned by Florida-based entrepreneur Shilen Patel, which has agreed to acquire a 87.8 per cent shareholding in the club.

A packed crowd at the Hawthorns was therefore buoyant heading into the clash against in-form Southampton - but it wasn't the ideal start for Corberan.
The Spaniard was given his marching orders by referee Sam Allison after just five minutes of play in the west Midlands.
Replays showed that Corberan had touched the ball before it went out of play, resulting in a straight red card.

There were not too many protestations from the Spaniard after his misjudgment, and the game resumed with a drop ball.
With the game being broadcast live on Sky Sports, West Brom fans will have no doubt been keen to hear the Spaniard's post-match thoughts on the takeover.
But FA rules state that, once a manager has been shown a red card, they cannot take part in a post-match interview after the game in which they were shown a red card.
And eight minutes after Corberan's sending off, the Baggies went behind when Ryan Fraser volleyed the ball into the bottom corner from 12 yards.

The disciplinary approach for managers was initially trialled by the EFL from the beginning of the 2018/19 season, before then being adopted by the Premier League.
Corberan, though, is one of the first managers on record to have fallen foul of this particular offence, with the sanction coming as a significant blow as the Baggies look to solidify their place in the Championship play-offs this evening.
