A major European club have unveiled plans for a spectacular new stadium that will have the biggest stand in Europe.
AS Roma have been regular participants in the Champions League in recent years, while in 2021-22 they won the inaugural Europa Conference League and the following year were runners-up in the Europa League.
However, they haven't been able to translate that into domestic success, with the 2007-08 Coppa Italia the only Italian title they have won in the last 20 years.

In an effort to boost revenues and take the club to the next level, Roma have unveiled plans to build a new stadium.
On Wednesday Roma vice president Ryan Friedkin and CEO Lina Souloukou met with the Mayor of Rome, Roberto Gualtieri, to discuss plans for the club's new stadium.
The proposed new stadium - shown off in a video published on Roma's social media channels - will be located in the Pietralata neighbourhood in the north east of Rome.

The new ground will have a capacity of 65,000 and will house the new Curva Sud, the home of Roma's most vocal fans and various ultra groups.
The new Curva Sud is set to become the largest single stand in Europe, a honour currently held by Borussia Dortmund's 24,454 capacity 'Yellow Wall'.
In a statement the club said that the new Curva Sud will "stand as a testament to the unwavering passion of AS Roma supporters."
Friedkin group - Roma's owners - are reportedly prepared to invest £513 million into the project, financed by the Bank of America and JP Morgan, while the revenue generated from the new stadium is expected to be around £60 million a year.

Populous - the architectural company that helped construct the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium - are involved in the project. The expected completion date is 2027, Roma's 100th anniversary.
Ryan Friedkin said: "This extraordinary stadium is not only a new home for AS Roma and its fans, but also a point of reference for all the citizens of Rome.
"The new Curva Sud, set to become the largest Curva in Europe, will be a powerful focal point, embodying the passion and energy of our supporters.
"With its iconic design inspired by classical Roman architecture and state-of-the-art facilities, the stadium will offer a world-class experience for everyone from football fans to the local community.

"As the staunch custodians of AS Roma, we are committed to creating a space that embodies the spirit and tradition of our club, while also becoming a global symbol of innovation and excellence and a model of environmental responsibility."
Roma currently share Rome's Stadio Olimpico with arch-rivals Lazio, but the ground is owned by a government agency that manages sporting venues.
