Thierry Henry gave a damning assessment of Erling Haaland’s performance during Manchester City’s 5-1 defeat against Arsenal at the Emirates on Sunday evening.
Henry, 47, gave a brutal take on Haaland’s performance despite the Norway international scoring his side’s only goal when he leapt above William Saliba to equalise on 55 minutes.
However, overall Haaland, 24, struggled to make an impact as he had just six touches in the first half of proceedings.
And Henry did not hold back and seemingly could not understand how the Manchester City forward is comfortable with seeing so little of the ball.

"I wouldn’t have been able to cope (with the lack of service); something would have happened," Henry said when speaking with Micah Richards and Jamie Carragher on Sky Sports. "I would have gone to get it, touch it back, do something.
"It’s a skill, David Trezeguet had it that even though he didn’t touch the ball he could stay concentrated and put the ball in the net. But what can you do when your team can’t help you? Can you hold the ball? Can you run into the channels? Can you be available when we are on the ball?
“I can understand sometimes that the number nine… who is good on the ball is not making any effort to defend.

"But you’re not moving so much when your team is on the ball or taking care of the ball. It’s not enough, but he will score when he plays like that, and he did."
Carragher, 46, then asked whether this “stops him” ever being “the best player in the world".
“Look you have guys in history known as goal scorers but you still need to be able to hold the ball," Henry explained.
“If people can challenge Kylian Mbappé for not holding the ball well at Real Madrid they can surely challenge Haaland.”

Of course, despite Henry's scathing assessment of Haaland, there is no doubting his ability to score goals, having registered 115 goals in 131 appearances for Pep Guardiola's side.
And considering he penned a new nine-and-a-half year deal earlier this month, he will continue to scare defences for years to come.
