Arsenal target Kingsley Coman has been contacted over a stunning move this deadline day, with the Bayern Munich winger still yet to decide on his future.

According to a report from the Daily Mail on Thursday, Arsenal are weighing up a late bid for Coman.

It is understood that Mikel Arteta is looking to add another wide forward to provide competition for Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, and Leandro Trossard and a player of Coman's caliber could be a huge statement from Arsenal.

However, despite the interest in the winger, it has been reported by Fabrizio Romano that Arsenal are not in 'active negotiations' with the German club.

One of the main obstacles Arsenal face is the wages of Coman, with the 28-year-old currently earning £300,000 per week at Bayern Munich.

This would mean that he would become the highest-paid player in the Arsenal dressing room if they were to match his current earnings.

However, Arsenal also have another issue as Coman has received a huge offer from another club with just hours remaining of the transfer window.

According to Florian Plettenberg, Al-Hilal are offering around €40m for Coman in hopes of securing a deal today. It is understood that Bayern are yet to make a decision but would be willing to let Coman go following the signing of Michael Olise from Crystal Palace.

Coman would join the likes of Neymar Jr at the Saudi Pro League side, and given the recent history of the club, it's fair to say they would be far more likely to match or even increase his astronomical wage.

The French international made 27 appearances for the Bundesliga giants last season, scoring five goals and assisting three.

Coman was also linked with a move to Premier League rivals Liverpool, but the Merseyside club opted for the signing of Federico Chiesa from Juventus as a cheaper alternative.
