In the second half, Arsenal pushed for a leveller, which was eventually provided by Rice in the 74th minute.
However, the Gunners failed to find the much-needed winner and had to settle for just one point.
As a result, Liverpool are now 15 points clear at the top with just 10 matches left to play.

Gunners fans spotted the Brazilian shouting at Rice and his teammates to get back to the halfway line so the match could resume as they were looking to score the winner.
Reacting on social media, one fan said: "Martinelli was screaming at Rice, telling him to come back - before he started running to celebrate."

Speaking on commentary, Gary Neville said: "I think Martinelli is right. Get back to the halfway line. He's shouting at Rice 'why are you celebrating?'"
When asked if the title race is now over after the match, Mikel Arteta said: "I don't want to say that, but today the frustration is that we haven't won a game.
