An official announcement has confirmed that Arsenal have been handed an FA charge due to the Myles Lewis-Skelly's controversial red card.
During their match against Wolverhampton Wanderers last week, Arsenal were reduced to 10 men after defender Lewis-Skelly was shown a straight red card in the first half for serious foul play on Wolves defender Matt Doherty.
The decision was immediately met with backlash from both fans and pundits but, despite a check from VAR, referee Michael Oliver stood by his decision.

But now, the FA have released a fresh update on the incident, confirming they have charged Arsenal due to their response to the moment.
Despite Arsenal's appeal against the red card being upheld, therefore removing Lewis-Skelly's three-match suspension, in investigation into the behaviour of the Gunners during the match continued.
And now, the FA have confirmed that they have charged Arsenal after the club's players surrounded Oliver immediately after the red card was shown.

The official statement read: "Arsenal FC has been charged after its players surrounded a match official during their Premier League fixture against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday, 25 January.
"The club allegedly failed to ensure that its players did not behave in an improper manner around the 43rd minute.
"Arsenal FC has until Monday, 3 February, to provide a response."

In the wake of the match, the PGMOL revealed that Oliver had received significant threats and abuse from fans, with the Daily Mail's Oliver Holt reporting that some had gone as far as sending death threats towards the 39-year-old and his family.

Police officers were reportedly sent to his home on Sunday as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of both Oliver and his family.
If Arsenal do not appeal the charge and provide a response by Monday, then it is likely that they will face a fine over the incident.
Ahead of transfer deadline day, which is also on Monday, a fine is the last thing that Arsenal will want to deal with as they hope to ramp up their pursuit of Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins.
