An Arsenal fan has won an incredible amount of money from one three-leg bet builder as a result of his side's 1-0 win over Tottenham on Sunday.

Gabriel Magalhaes scored the only goal of the game on 68 minutes, powering in a header from a Bukayo Saka corner.

The win is Arsenal's third in four matches in this season's Premier League, and moves them into second place in the table at this early stage.

But while there was joy for Mikel Arteta's side and the Gunners fans watching the clash, the win was even more special for one Arsenal supporter.

Twitter user @OzBlock108 placed a three-leg bet builder on the Gunners to win 1-0 and for Gabriel to score anytime - perhaps sensing Spurs' weakness at set pieces.

He also bet on the scores to be level at half-time.

With a £40 stake, the fan won an incredible £6,031.89.

The win comes almost a week after another punter landed nearly £2,000 off a £15 bet during the international break.

They placed a wager on the Scotland vs Portugal match, with Scott McTominay to score a header and Bruno Fernandes to score from outside the box.

Speaking after Arsenal's win over Spurs, meanwhile, manager Mikel Arteta was delighted with his side's performance in the north London derby.

He told the club's official website: "We have the power to make a lot of people happy and proud.

"We certainly did that today, in the manner that we won and the game and in the circumstances that we had before arriving into this match, and with this being the third consecutive away win here [at Tottenham] as well.

"It means a lot. Hopefully they [the fans] can enjoy it.

"There are certain things that we have to do better for sure, especially the simple things with the ball that I wasn't happy at all with.

"But there are other things in the game that we have to do, and the way we competed and defended, and the way we have the intention all the time to run in the spaces that they give you, it was unbelievable."
