Arsenal fans noticed Ben White moment with James Maddison during wild Gabriel goal celebrations

Arsenal fans noticed Ben White moment with James Maddison during wild Gabriel goal celebrations

White and Maddison were spotted after Arsenal went ahead at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Arsenal fans noticed a moment between Ben White and James Maddison as the Gunners celebrated Gabriel Magalhaes' winning goal against Tottenham.

Arsenal secured a 1-0 victory over their north London rivals at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Gabriel scored the only goal of the game in the second half, powering his header beyond Spurs goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario from a corner on 68 minutes.

The match was a bad-tempered encounter, with seven yellow cards alone being handed out by referee Jarred Gillett in the first half.

That equalled a Premier League record, with five Spurs players - including goalkeeper Vicario - going into the book in the opening 45 minutes.

There was trouble in the second half, but Arsenal fans spotted a notable moment between White and Maddison during their side's goal celebrations.

As Gabriel's header went in, White turned around and celebrated with his fists clenched - right in front of Maddison.

He then turned away and ran to celebrate with the rest of his team-mates.

Ange Postecoglou's side have won just one of their opening four games, collecting four points.

They currently sit in 13th place in the Premier League table - already six points behind their north London rivals.

Earlier in the week, Maddison was criticised by Spurs legend Rafael van der Vaart for his lack of impact so far this season.

Van der Vaart told BetMGM (via Goal): "He's just a player who I will come to the stadium for because I really like him.

"But to make an even bigger impact than that, really that passion and that killer mentality that needs to be there. Maybe I'm wrong.

"There are too many games where I've thought, 'Okay, he can do more', because he is good, he scores and he had a big impact on the team.

"That's my feeling when I see him play."
