Arsenal are set to let a player leave for free this summer, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Gunners are at the Premier League summit, hoping to win their first title in two decades while they have qualified for the Champions League last-eight for the first time in 14 years.
Despite their relative success so far this term, the Arsenal hierarchy already has one eye on the summer, where several signings are expected alongside multiple outgoings.

The Athletic’s transfer guru David Ornstein claimed last week that the likes of Aaron Ramsdale, Kieran Tierney, Nuno Tavares, Sambi Lokonga, Thomas Partey, Jorginho, Emile Smith Rowe, Fabio Vieira, Reiss Nelson and Eddie Nketiah could all depart at the end of the season.
Meanwhile, Romano has now claimed on X, formally Twitter that Cedric Soares will leave as a free transfer in the summer.
The Italian journalist said: “Cedric Soares will leave Arsenal as a free agent in the summer, decision made.

“Portuguese RB remains fully committed to the club until June as a top professional then he will leave #AFC.
“Many clubs in Europe, considering Cédric as a top option for the summer on free transfer.”
Elsewhere, Arsenal are expected to have several incomings in the summer, with the club allegedly set to target around five new additions, including a striker.

Earlier this month, Ornstein reported that Arsenal were interested in the likes of Benjamin Sesko, Viktor Gyokeres and Evan Ferguson for the striker birth.
Meanwhile, the club reportedly have a long-term desire to bring in back-up in the wide areas, with Pedro Neto among the options despite the player's £80million asking price.
Ornstein said: “On transfer priorities, my understanding is that will be a striker and I touched on some of the potential names previously.
“Then there is a desire to add back-up for Saka/Martinelli, a No.8 or No.6 depending on other movements in that area, possibly a left-back and a back-up goalkeeper if Ramsdale leaves.”
