Arsenal fans have spotted a strange detail in a viral video of Ben White signing a short for a supporter.

The Arsenal first-team are in the United States for their pre-season tour ahead of the new season.

They began their US tour with a victory over Bournemouth on penalties before beating Manchester United 2-1.

Mikel Arteta's side resume their pre-season on Thursday when they take on Liverpool in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

And one fan in Philadelphia bumped into White and couldn't contain his emotions.

He broke down in tears after he asked the defender to sign his shirt and could be heard saying: "I love you, Ben."

But Arsenal fans on social media noticed the supporter had Bukaya Saka's name on the back of his shirt.

So, he claimed to love White but had Saka's name on the back of his shirt.

Saka's name and number on the Arsenal supporter's shirt didn't go unnoticed among Gooners on social media.

One X user joked: "Crying 'I Love you Ben..' Hands him a Saka shirt."

A second tweeted: "It's a Saka jersey."

A third added: "Love him so much he got Saka on the back of it."

A fourth commented: "Bit cheeky getting him to sign Saka's shirt."

A fifth wrote: "Crying and saying he loves Ben yet has Saka on his top."

White, who has started both of the Gunners' games in America, is expected to play a part against Liverpool before his side return home.

The 26-year-old is once again set to be a crucial player under Mikel Arteta, who was asked whether his players are ready for the start of the new season.

"There are obviously different layers and different things that we have to improve and get better at, but I think we have good foundations at the moment," he explained.

"The spirit is good, the way the boys are working and applying themselves, that will that they have to compete and win is there, and I’ve tried to maximise the last two weeks to give them the best possible foundation."
