Who will become Premier League champions if Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City happen to finish level on points with the same goal difference and goals scored?

The 23/24 season is fast becoming one of the most memorable of all time.

In what is going to be a three-horse race from now to the end of the season, Arsenal, Liverpool and City are all in with a chance to become champions.

The Gunners are currently on top of the table with 64 points, followed by Liverpool, also on 64 points but are second due to their inferior goal difference.

Meanwhile, reigning champions City are one point behind in third place.

Arsenal are back on top of the table for the first time since Boxing Day after their late win against Brentford.

To their advantage, both Liverpool and City dropped points after their clash at Anfield ended in a 1-1 draw.

As reported by the BBC, if Arsenal, Liverpool and City happen to finish level on points with the same goal difference and goals scored, it will then go down to most points won in the head-to-head matches and then most away goals scored in the head-to-head record.

If that is to happen, Arsenal currently have the edge as they beat both Liverpool and City at the Emirates.

Meanwhile, Liverpool drew away at the Etihad Stadium and also drew against Arsenal and City at Anfield.

City are set to host Arsenal at the end of March in what will be a massive game in this season’s title race.

Liverpool and City will be in FA Cup action this weekend as they take on Manchester United and Newcastle United respectively.

Arsenal are set to take on FC Porto on Tuesday night before returning to Premier League action against City on 31 March.

Speaking after the match against City, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp said: “So many teams are fighting, so much quality. The only thing I need for the moment, I would prefer to have 30 points between us and all the other things, but the realistic thing is are we really in that race from a performance point of view?

“Today I saw a team that is in the right position, so now let’s see what we can do.”
