Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford reportedly intervened during an incident involving Swiss footballer Alisha Lehmann in a Manchester nightclub back in 2023.
Rashford, 27, and Lehmann, 26, had reportedly never crossed paths before the incident, but luckily for the Swiss footballer, the Manchester United man was there to offer a helping hand when she needed it.
Lehmann, who plays for Italian side Juventus and the Switzerland national team, is the most followed Swiss sportsperson on Instagram with 16.8 million followers.
To put this into context, tennis icon Roger Federer – also Swiss – has 13 million followers.

And in some ways, her popularity on social media has given the 26-year-old a platform to voice her opinion on several matters, including the pay gap between male and female footballers.
Her fame has also allowed her to secure multiple lucrative sponsorship deals, such as a recent work with Italian swimwear company Tezenis.
But as most famous people will tell you, there are huge downsides, and Lehmann reportedly experienced this first-hand in 2023 when she visited a Manchester nightclub.

A source told The Sun, that Rashford came to Lehmann’s aid after she was crowded upon her arrival at Chinawhite in Manchester.
The source said: “Marcus cleared a table and invited her and her friends to join them.
"It was the first time they’d met, but he knew who Alisha was.
“They exchanged a few words, and she thanked him. Then they carried on partying with their separate sets of friends.

"She thought he was a gent.”

Lehmann has previously discussed the negative aspects of her fame.
“A lot of people only see the social side [of my life, via Instagram] and not actually how I play football,” Lehmann told The Times in 2023.

“About this, I’m sometimes disappointed, because I work hard every day. I train every day, and I want to be the best player I can be.
“They don’t really know how I play. I’m always saying, ‘Watch a game, please’ — and then they’re surprised.”
Lehmann is currently on international duty at UEFA Women’s Euro 2025, with her Switzerland side set to take on world champions Spain in a quarter-final clash at the Wankdörk Stadium in Bern later today.
