More people would prefer to play for Jurgen Klopp than Pep Guardiola, according to the results of a survey conducted by Sky Bet ahead of the new campaign.
Manchester City fans were the only club to vote in favour of Pep, with all other Premier League fans voting in a majority for Jurgen Klopp.
Fans were also asked what team they supported and only Man City fans voted in favour of Guardiola, with 16% of Citizens voting for the rival manager. Broken down, fans of all other Premier League teams sided with the 2021 Champions League winning manager.

After last weekend’s 3-1 win for Liverpool over City in the Community Shield, Klopp continues to have the upperhand on Guardiola, with the ex-Dortmund manager having won 10 times against Guardiola, whilst the Spaniard has come out victorious eight times. This is despite the German having the so called ‘inferior’ teams of Mainz and Dortmund when the pair locked horns in Bundesliga.
The ex-Barcelona manager may have brought his tika-taka football to the Premier League, but fans would rather play under Klopp’s favoured Gegenpress and though Guardiola has dominated the Premier League in recent years, with four league titles compared to Klopp’s one, when it comes to winning the Champions League with an English club, Klopp is ahead as Guardiola still seeks his first European success with the Etihad side.

The managerial rivalry looks set to continue at the top of the Premier League table this season, but there’s a new one on the pitch with summer signings Darwin Nunez and Erling Haaland both vying to be the league’s top goalscorers for their respective clubs.
Fans were asked to name who they think will be the 2022/23 Premier League’s top scorer, and it seems that Premier League fans think Haaland will outshine Nunez in their debut season with 22% of surveyed supporters thinking the Norwegian will win the Golden Boot this season. In contrast, only 2% of fans think Liverpool’s new Uruguayan striker will be top of the goalscoring charts.

Both newcomers were in the spotlight last Saturday in the Community Shield as Nunez managed to get himself on the scoresheet, before Haaland missed a simple chance in the dying moments of the game that was scrutinised all over social media, but it remains to be seen how the duo will fare this term.
