A YouTube prankster has come forward and claimed he was responsible for an infamous porn noise being played out during BBC’s live FA Cup coverage on Tuesday evening.

Match of the Day presenter Gary Lineker was left helpless after sex noises could be heard from the BBC studio ahead of Wolves and Liverpool’s third-round FA Cup replay.

Lineker later took to Twitter to post a photo of an old-school phone, which appeared to be the device from which the pornographic noise was played from.

“Well, we found this taped to the back of the set. As sabotage goes it was quite amusing,” he tweeted to his followers.

Fans were left startled by what they had heard during the pre-match coverage, with footage instantly going viral on social media.

However, YouTuber Jarvo69 is now accepting that he was responsible for the sex phone prank that left the BBC pundits red-faced.

Taking to his Twitter account, he posted a behind-the-scenes tour at Wolves’ Molineux and even stood at the door where the BBC planned to have its studio for the match.

“Yes, it was me that pranked the BBC Match of the Day with the sex Phone :),” he tweeted.

“The video coming soon!!!! @BMWJARVO best prankster ever!!!! [sic].”

Jarvo69 posted a video on his YouTube channel of the prank playing out in real time and can be seen speaking to an accomplice, apparently called Tommy, over the phone.

Jarvo69, along with another person in the room, are watching the live broadcast and burst into laughter when the sex noises were played out on the BBC.

“Was watching this live with my parents, absolute legends,” one fan posted in response to the footage.

“Classic. Hit the jackpot with that one,” someone else added.

While a third wrote: “Legendary moment in football. Fantastic job.”

Another YouTube user said: “Was watching this live and just come across this! Absolutely hilarious.”

And a fifth commented: “OMG, absolute legends, I’ve replayed this over and over. Hilarious.”
