Wayne Rooney was a fiery character on the pitch but it was his antics off the pitch that left him with a bill to pay after smashing up a drugs testing room at the Euros once.
The former Manchester United and Everton star scored 53 goals in 120 games for the Three Lions, overtaking Sir Bobby Charlton to become England's top goalscorer.
Rooney held that title until current England captain Harry Kane overtook him, while the new Plymouth Argyle boss is second in his country's all-time appearance record too.

Rooney played several tournaments with England, with arguably his best coming in his first for the Three Lions when he announced himself to the world in Euro 2004.
The World Cup in 2006 saw Rooney enter the tournament recovering from a fractured metatarsal, and being sent off for an alleged stamp on Ricardo Carvalho in the quarter-final defeat to Portugal.
The World Cup in 2010 in South Africa saw England exit at the hands of Germany with a 4-2 loss, though had Frank Lampard's strike which crossed the line been recognised, it would have been a 2-2 draw going into half-time.

Euro 2012 saw England beaten at the quarter-final stage by Italy, while in the 2014 World Cup, the Three Lions were dumped out at the group stage.
Rooney's final tournament with England came with Euro 2016, where Roy Hodgson's men suffered an embarrassing last 16 exit at the hands of Iceland.
Rooney scored his last international goal in that encounter, and the forward had experienced an episode earlier in the tournament as he waited for a drug test after a game.

Speaking to The Times, Rooney revealed he was frequently called to be tested for drugs while on international duty.
He described how his temper ran short after England's comeback 2-1 victory against Wales and how former Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey witnessed the Three Lions man smashing the drug testing room up.
He said: "A weird thing was that at every game in that tournament I was selected for the drugs test.
"I was fuming. They say it’s a random process but somehow every single time it was me."

He went on to add: "I was so annoyed after the Wales game that I smashed the testing room up.
"One of the Welsh lads was in there — Aaron Ramsey I think — and I just went 'sod this' and the TV went. Everything. I smashed the lot.
"I got a bill for it. And another UEFA warning."
Though Rooney did not give a figure, it probably would not have been a small amount.
