Thomas Tuchel texted four England players telling them he was watching their Premier League game as a major hint has been dropped ahead of this week's squad announcement.
Tuchel has been tasked with leading a new England era after replacing Gareth Southgate.
He names his first Three Lions squad on Friday, having observed plenty of action up and down the country since the turn of the year.

Tuchel has compiled a list of 55 players ahead of selecting his first official squad.
And it appears a Crystal Palace quartet are going to be included after Dean Henderson revealed that Tuchel had texted him and some of his club teammates over the weekend.
The German boss contacted Henderson as well as Adam Wharton, Marc Guehi and Eberechi Eze ahead of Palace's league clash against Ipswich Town last Saturday.

That's according to the 27-year-old goalkeeper, who received a message from the new England gaffer.
The Palace stopper said: "I’ll be honest, I’d love to play for England this time around, I’d love to get a cap, another cap. I’m chasing that - it’s one of my goals.
"He [Tuchel] texted before the game, and it’s nice to know that he’s watching. He wrote he’d be at the game and be in the stands watching, just wished me all the best.
"He did, alongside Adam [Wharton], Marc [Guehi] and Ebs [Eberechi Eze] as well, so it’s nice to know he’s watching.

"All I can do is control what I can control - that’s my job for the team, and the way the manager wants me to play; showing up in big moments, which I have been doing, I’m really enjoying it. It’s the best football I’ve played in the last couple years, because I’m playing a lot."

Henderson, Wharton, Guehi and Eze were all named in Southgate's Euro 2024 party.
Judging by Tuchel's text messages, it appears the Palace quartet are set to make the cut.

Henderson has just two international caps to his name and didn't feature in Germany last summer - just like Wharton. Guehi started all but one game at Euro 2024 while Eze played a bit-role at the tournament.
