How England players reacted to finding out that Jack Grealish wouldn't be going to Euro 2024 has been claimed within a new report.
Grealish was one of seven players to be cut from Gareth Southgate's final 26-man squad for Euro 2024, which was announced on Thursday evening.
The decision came as a surprise to many, despite the Manchester City winger struggling to match the heights of his incredible 2022/23 campaign this season.

It is one of several bold calls that Southgate has made ahead of the tournament, including his decision not to include Marcus Rashford in the provisional squad and his decision to pick Luke Shaw despite the Manchester United defender still recovering from injury.
Southgate described the Shaw pick as a 'gamble', although claims that the 28-year-old is expected to be fit from the second group game onwards.
Now, according to The Telegraph, the reaction within the England camp is said to have been one of 'surprise' when it was announced that Grealish would not be travelling to Germany.

Unsurprisingly, the City winger was said to be 'upset' that he would not be involved in the squad, with some of his team-mates personally visiting his room to console him.
It is even claimed that one player spoke with Southgate in the aftermath - but only to understand his reasoning and to explain the situation to others. It is added that there were 'no rows or confrontation' within the camp.
The report adds that Grealish 'handled his exit from the England camp professionally, and wished the squad and staff well for the tournament'.

In his press conference, Southgate revealed that all seven players who were cut handled the decisions in the same manner.
He said: "All the players took the news really respectfully.
"Of course, all players will think they should be in, and that's why they are top players. They have that self-belief and mindset.
"The fact is we have some players who have been playing extremely well in the league all season.

"We just felt other players had stronger seasons, particularly in the last six months or so."
On Grealish personally, Southgate added: "I have just delivered a really difficult conversation to a lad who is devastated. I think the world of him as a kid. Yes, I am not going to go broader than that."
