England squad news 'leaked' hours before official announcement with Lee Carsley set to be without six key names

England squad news 'leaked' hours before official announcement with Lee Carsley set to be without six key names

Lee Carsley will name his squad later today ahead of Nations League fixtures.

Lee Carsley's England squad has been 'leaked' hours before the official announcement with SIX key players set to miss out.

England resume their Nations League campaign with fixtures against Greece and Ireland scheduled for next week.

The Three Lions travel to Athens to face Greece on November 14 before hosting Ireland at Wembley Stadium on November 17.

And ahead of naming his squad this afternoon, it has been claimed that Carsley could be without Harry Maguire, Jack Grealish, John Stones, Kobbie Mainoo, Declan Rice and Cole Palmer.

Maguire has a calf problem; Stones has a foot injury and Mainoo has not played since before the last international break.

Grealish is also missing, with Rice and Palmer injury doubts for this weekend's Premier League clash between Chelsea and Arsenal.

The interim boss is set to include Liverpool star Curtis Jones as well as Newcastle United's Tino Livramento in his party.

Jones has starred under Arne Slot, with a debut senior cap on the cards.

He's played 12 games for Liverpool across all competitions this season, scoring one goal.

Livramento, who is also uncapped at senior level, is set to feature in Carsley's squad, having shone at Newcastle United this season.

Thomas Tuchel will take charge of England from January 1. He will have no input into this squad and will not attend either game.

During last month's international break, England suffered a shock 2-1 defeat to Greece before beating Finland 3-1 in Helsinki.

England sit in second place in League B Group 2, with nine points on the board - three points behind leaders Greece.
