England goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has urged prime minister Rishi Sunak to declare a week-long national holiday if the Three Lions win Euro 2024.
Gareth Southgate's men will be hoping to make a positive start to their European Championship campaign on Sunday, when they come up against Serbia in Gelsenkirchen.
Tough tests against Denmark and Slovenia follow for one of the tournament favourites, who have a 19.9 per cent chance of lifting the trophy this summer, according to Opta.

Many believe England will go all the way, including Paul Merson.
"I'll be shocked, amazed, if we didn't win it," he told Sky Sports. "Who can beat us? Maybe France. But when we played last time it was a close game with Harry Kane missing a penalty. If he scored that, there would have been only one winner."
Merson added: "Germany? No. Portugal? No, they're an ageing team. England have had a huge amount of experience with ups and downs. They're ready."

With talk over England's chances rife, goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has encouraged prime minister Rishi Sunak to make a welcome move if the Euros come home.
Speaking on YouTube channel That's Football, he said: "It has got to be a national holiday hasn't it... for a week, because nobody is working."
According to the BBC, a 2010 House of Commons library report put the bill for an extra bank holiday at an eye-watering £2.9 billion.
The Bank of England and Office of Budget Responsibility have also argued that it negatively impacts growth.
Last year, when the Lionesses reached their first ever World Cup final, the government responded to calls for an extra bank holiday.

When asked by the BBC if there could be a change of heart after a win over Spain, a spokesperson said: "We congratulate the Lionesses on their fantastic achievement in getting to the Women's World Cup final.
"The current pattern of public and bank holidays is well established and there are no plans to change this."
