Gary Neville’s Bukayo Saka prediction has come true ahead of England’s March friendlies against Brazil and Belgium.
On Thursday it emerged that Saka had pulled out of the England squad, having been unable to take part in training since reporting for international duty.
The Football Association said Saka had joined up with his England colleagues earlier in the week carrying an injury and would return to Arsenal, who play Manchester City on March 31, to “continue his rehabilitation.”

England take on Brazil at Wembley on Saturday before hosting Belgium on March 26.
Saka’s withdrawal is a setback for England manager Gareth Southgate, with the Three Lions set for just two more scheduled fixtures after this international break before their opening Euro 2024 game against Serbia on June 16.
Nevertheless, Saka’s withdrawal had been predicted by former Manchester United captain and Sky Sports pundit Neville ahead of the March internationals.

On the Stick to Football podcast, brought to you by Sky Bet, Neville said: “I’ll make a prediction.
“Either Declan [Rice], Saka or Foden, I’ve got a good feeling they will pull out of the second game.”
Neville was making the prediction with Arsenal and City’s top-of-the-table clash in mind at the end of the month.
Arsenal are at the Premier League summit with ten games remaining, and through to the Champions League quarter-finals for the first time in 14 years.

Saka has been a key player for Mikel Arteta’s men, having netted 16 goals this term, including 13 in the Premier League.
The 22-year-old established himself as an important player for Gareth Southgate’s side, having made his debut as a teenager in 2020.
Last September the winger, who has scored 11 goals in 32 appearances for his country, was even named England men's player of the year for the second season running.
