The Manchester United forward hit the milestone earlier this month and is officially the most famous personality on the platform.

He's surpassed Kylie Jenner's 312 million followers by quite a distance and released a video celebrating the milestone with a 'Siu' to boot.
Ronaldo said: "Hi guys, 400 million... wow. What a number. Now I can say 'Siuuu!'
"It's fantastic, what a moment for me. Without you none of this is possible. From the bottom of my heart I have to say thank you.

"Keep going like that. I will share my life with you, all the things with you because you deserve it.
"Thank you very much and let's do it for another 100, 200 millions. Thank you guys."
Reports last year claimed Ronaldo makes around $40 million per year from Instagram thanks to sponsored posts.
That works out at around $1.6 million per post based on his activity in 2021.

Ronaldo is one of the only sports stars to make that much as the top is usually reserved for US celebrities in other fields of entertainment.
Last summer saw the five-time Ballon d'Or winner return to Old Trafford, 12 years after leaving for Real Madrid.
He started Sunday's 4-2 victory over Leeds United and was replaced by Raphael Varane late in the second half.

Rumours emerged earlier this week claiming Ronaldo had held talks with interim manager Ralf Rangnick over taking the captaincy from Harry Maguire.
Rangnick shot those down however and said Maguire will remain captain, putting faith in the England international.
"This is absolutely nonsense," the 63-year-old stressed.

"I have never spoken to any player about a chance in captaincy, Harry is aware of that and Cristiano.
"It’s me who decides who is captain and I don't have to talk to anyone else about that.
"Harry is our captain and he will stay our captain."
