The mother of Cristiano Ronaldo has slammed reports that the superstar footballer and his model girlfriend are on the verge of splitting up, labelling the claims, "all lies."
Ronaldo was under the spotlight in the British media just a few months ago, when an explosive interview with Piers Morgan resulted in his exit from Manchester United.
Since joining Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr, it's quickly been forgotten that the five-time Ballon d'Or winner even played a - admittedly small - part in what has been a compelling Premier League season.

The same cannot be said in Spain though, where the former Real Madrid star's love life has been the subject of near-constant speculation.
Multiple outlets have claimed that Ronaldo's relationship with his girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez is on the rocks, despite the couple and their five children moving into a new home in Riyadh just a few months ago.
One Spanish TV programme, Socialite, claimed that Ronaldo was "fed up" with 29-year-old model's habit of spending plenty of money in a Riyadh shopping centre.

A Spanish TikToker, Abel Planelles, claimed a fan told him of a row between the couple as they boarded a plane.
Speaking at a shop opening in her native Madeira, Ronaldo's mother, Dolores Aveiro, shot down the rumours.
"It’s all lies," the 68-year-old told media at a press event for a shop opening in Madeira.

“Every couple argues, but what’s been written is a lie.”
Ronaldo and Rodriguez, who have been together since 2016, have both hit back at the reports.
In a social media post, Georgina wrote: "The jealous one invents a rumour, the gossipy one spreads it and the idiot believes it."
Days later Cristiano, 38, posted a romantic snap on his Instagram of the couple kissing, with the caption: “Cheers to love.”

Ahead of the recent release of the second series of her hit Netflix show I am Georgina, Rodriguez said of her long-term partner: "Cristiano is marvellous. He’s a wonderful father, a wonderful son, brother, friend and partner, boss and employee because he’s an employee as well. He’s fantastic in every sense of the word
"Sometimes we’re at home eating and I look at him and think ‘How lucky I feel to be the one he’s chosen to create this wonderful family’ and I go to bed really happy."
