Cristiano Ronaldo had a rough night at the Ballon d'Or awards as it has been revealed that he failed to receive any votes.

Ronaldo has won the Ballon d'Or an impressive five times during his legendary career, last winning the prize in 2017.

But he was well off the pace in the 2022 Ballon d'Or rankings as he failed to register a single vote, according to reports via The Mirror.

The 37-year-old, though, was present at the Paris gala as he watched his former Real Madrid teammate Karim Benzema win the coveted individual prize for the first time in his career.

Benzema stormed to victory, picking up a staggering 549 points - over 300 more points than second-placed Sadio Mane, who gained 193 points.

Kevin De Bruyne, Robert Lewandowski and Mohamed Salah picked up 175, 170 and 116 points respectively.

Kylian Mbappe earned 85 points while Thibaut Courtois racked up 82 points.

Vinicius Junior (61 points), Luka Modric (20 points) and Erling Haaland (18 points) round off the top ten.

Check out the top ten below:

1: Karim Benzema - 549

2: Sadio Mané - 193

3: Kevin de Bruyne - 175

4: Robert Lewandowski - 170

5: Mohamed Salah - 116

6: Kylian Mbappé - 85

7: Thibaut Courtois - 82

8: Vinicius Junior - 61

9: Luka Modric - 20

10: Erling Haaland - 18

The lack of votes for Ronaldo at the Ballon d'Or ceremony sums up his campaign this season, having only scored two goals.

He's played a bit-part role under Erik ten Hag and was an unused substitute in Man United's win over Tottenham.

The Portuguese stormed down the tunnel, with Ten Hag revealing that the player refused to come on.

He's been banished from the first-team and won't be involved in his side's big Premier League game against Chelsea.
