Manchester United fans are all saying the same thing about the scuffle between Conor Coady and Andy Robertson during the Merseyside derby.

Coady and Robertson, as well as Jordan Pickford, were involved in the main flashpoint during Liverpool vs. Everton on Monday.

The Liverpool defender clashed with Pickford before an outraged Coady intervened as a brawl ensued, with players from both teams pushing and shoving each other.

The Everton man grabbed the Scottish left-back by the neck then pushed him away, which didn't go unnoticed among Man United fans.

They fumed online as they compared his actions to Casemiro grabbing Will Hughes by the neck, which got the Brazilian sent off against Crystal Palace.

Man United supporters on social media bemoaned the lack of consistency in officiating in the Premier League, questioning why the England international didn't receive a red card.

One Twitter user wrote: "Did Coady get a red like Casemiro did. Example 7278362662623 of non-existent consistency in the Premier League."

A second tweeted: "Why no red card for this? Why our player Casemiro got red? Why so much inconsistency in referee's decision? Is the local bias on display. Coady is a local player which Casemiro isn't?"

A third added: "Wasn't Casemiro sent off recently for what Conor Coady did here?"

A fourth exclaimed: "English Bias. Connor is one of the lads he’s a really good person that’s their excuse. Just because Conor Coady is English and Casemiro is a foreign player they gave him a red absolute disgrace from the VAR, refs and media. There is not consistency in the decision."

A fifth said: "Casemiro - holds player by neck then makes up w then and hugs them = red card. Connor Coady - holds Robertson by the neck and then pushes him away = nothing."

Another commented: "Personally I don’t think either should have been sent off but you have to accept that United will have a fair question to ask why Coady got no punishment at all for pretty much the same action that got Casemiro a red."

Match referee Simon Hooper issued a yellow card to Robertson and Pickford, but failed to punish Coady for his part in the brawl.

Was he lucky to escape a red card? Let us know what you think.
