Chelsea are yet to sign anyone in the transfer window but if they manage to bring in all of their targets, they will be a serious force in the new season.
To date, Chelsea’s business in the transfer market has been shifting players. Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen departed the club at the end of June after their contracts expired. Saul Niguez has returned to Atletico Madrid after his loan spell at Stamford Bridge proved to be a disappointment.
Last summer’s £97.5 million signing Romelu Lukaku has returned to Inter Milan on loan after a dismal season with Chelsea that was marred with controversy.
Left back Marcos Alonso looks set to be sold in the transfer window, the Spaniard is attracting the attention of Barcelona. With the Nou Camp club also said to be interested in Blues captain Cesar Azpilicueta.

Chelsea have been working on a deal to bring Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling to the club. According to multiple reports, the deal is imminent after Chelsea agreed personal terms with Sterling and a fee of around £45 million with the Etihad club.

In the wake of Cristiano Ronaldo demanding Manchester United to let him go, Chelsea have been one of the heavy favourites to snap up one of the sport’s all time greats. The 37-year-old scored 24 goals last season despite playing in a United side that was desperately lacking in quality and confidence.
Ronaldo’s goals couldn’t prevent United finishing sixth in the Premier League as they missed out on Champions League qualification.
Blues boss Thomas Tuchel will be looking for defensive reinforcements after losing both Christensen and Rudiger. One of the names being targeted is Juventus’ Dutch centre back, Matthijs de Ligt.
De Ligt, 22, could be the heartbeat of Chelsea’s defence for years to come. However, the Turin club are in no rush to sell as he does have two years left on his contract which includes a massive £103 million release clause.

How will Chelsea line up if they get their main targets across the line? According to GIVEMESPORT, Chelsea’s potential starting eleven is scary. A team that is definitely good enough to challenge then likes of Manchester City and Liverpool.
Tuchel will be hopeful that they can mount and sustain a charge for the Premier League title after being left behind by the two front runners last season. They will also look to go one step further in the domestic cups, after losing both finals on penalties against Liverpool.
A deeper run in the Champions League will also be expected after they were dramatically dumped out in the quarter finals last season by the eventual winners, Real Madrid.
