Chelsea will reportedly fine Romelu Lukaku €500,000 for his controversial and explosive interview with Sky Italy.
Lukaku's bombshell of an interview angered Thomas Tuchel, who disciplined him by dropping the £97.5 million forward against Liverpool last weekend.
And the Blues boss will continue to throw the book at the Belgium international with a big monetary fine.
That's according to la Repubblica who claim Chelsea will fine Lukaku €500,000 for the interview he gave to the Italian outlet.
It won't be the first time Lukaku has been handed a massive fine after he was disciplined by Manchester United for going AWOL in 2019.
He was slapped with a £400,000 fine after he travelled to Belgium and failed to report for Man United training.
Despite his latest episode, it appears the 28-year-old still has a future at Stamford Bridge even though he confessed his love for Inter Milan.
Speaking about his decision to drop Lukaku from the matchday squad against Liverpool, Tuchel said: "It became too noisy, and so close to the match.
"So, I decided to protect the preparation of the match and that is why he is out.
"Of course, we have spoken, we have spoken twice and he has spoken to the lead players.
"And after that we had to realise it's too close to the match and it's too big."
The German coach added: "We need to protect the preparation of the match.
"We have a big match to play and we need full focus, which is anyway hard to get even with this decision but it is, in my opinion, easier.
"For sure it was a difficult decision to take but in my opinion, it is the one to take."
Lukaku has weighed in with seven goals in all competitions since returning to Chelsea.
He's scored in his side's last two league games having returned to action following an injury.
