The source that first reported Arsenal's interest in Moises Caicedo has claimed the Brighton midfielder has chosen his next club.

Caicedo has shone for the Seagulls this season, establishing himself as a key member of both Graham Potter and Roberto de Zerbi's starting XI and helping them to a best ever sixth-placed finish in the Premier League.

His performances have attracted the interest of several Premier League sides, including Arsenal, who have been long-term admirers of the 21-year-old.

Mikel Arteta saw two bids worth up to £70million rejected for the Ecuador international in January, but are expected to reignite their pursuit this summer.

Indeed, it was reported on Monday that Caicedo had 'agreed personal terms with Arsenal' as the race for his signature heats up.

According to The Telegraph, Brighton are 'set to demand significantly more than £70 million' for Caicedo, with both Chelsea and Manchester United also interested.

However, Caicedo is reportedly keen to join Arsenal this summer due to their Champions League status.

Caicedo 'chooses' next club

Ecuadorian outlet Teradeportes, which first reported Arsenal’s interest in Caicedo last year, claims Caicedo wants to join Arsenal, despite interest in him from Chelsea.

Their post on Twitter reads "el peso de jugar champions", meaning 'the weight of playing champions', suggesting Champions League football has swayed Caicedo towards join Arsenal over Chelsea.

While Arsenal's priority transfer target remains West Ham midfielder Declan Rice, Arteta is keen to add at least two central midfielders to his ranks.

According to The Daily Mail, the Gunners are preparing a £90 million bid to sign Rice, but West Ham are demanding £120 million to sell their captain.

Although, paying such a high price could see Arsenal's interest in Caicedo fall by the wayside, with Arteta also allegedly keen to add a winger, full-back and striker to his ranks
