In a piece of news nobody expected to read today, goalkeeper Kevin Trapp has scored a brace for Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt in their friendly win over VfL Germania 1894.
The 33-year-old Germany international was brought on as an outfield player for the second-half of Wednesday's post-season clash at the Ahorn Camp Sportpark in Frankfurt.
Wearing the number ten shirt, Trapp made an instant impact, scoring just five minutes after the restart. "Our new striker finds the bottom corner with a smart finish," the club's official X account wrote.

Dino Toppmoller's side were already 8-0 up thanks to Nacho Ferri, Philipp Max [2], Fares Chaibi [2], Tuta and Jean-Matteo Bahoya [2] when the former PSG goalkeeper found the net.
It was a tidy finish from Trapp, who has made over 250 competitive appearances for Eintracht Frankfurt since making his debut for the German club in 2012 following a move from FC Kaiserslautern.
VfL Germania Germania managed to get themselves on the scoresheet with a quarter of an hour left, when Branislav Tomic beat Simon Simoni with a long-range effort.

But the game was all but over by then.
Toppmoller's men would end up 13-1 winners and Trapp even managed to bag his second with eight minutes of normal time remaining thanks to some great play from Hugo Ekitike.
"It was about having fun again as a team and with the fans," Trapp said after the final whistle. "I think it was entertaining. For me, the question was how long I could hold out [in attack]. Seppl had a nice send-off with his goal."
Brazilian goalkeeper Kaua Santos also came on with 20 minutes remaining but it was Trapp's appearance that got people talking online.
One said commented: "Why tf is Kevin Trapp playing outfield and scoring a brace in a friendly," while another said: "Looks like they’re having fun. Something we didn’t see during the season."

A third wrote: "The real football highlight of today is that Kevin Trapp is now playing number 10."
A fourth added: "To all Frankfurt fans. Do you think Kevin Trapp is better off on the wing than in goal?"
