Bayern Munich have reportedly grown 'irritated' by manager Thomas Tuchel due to his 'erratic' behaviour throughout the transfer window.

The German giants added five players this summer, including blockbuster signing Harry Kane from Tottenham for a club-record fee of ÂŁ100million.

However, the former Chelsea boss was keen to sign a defensive-minded midfielder, having expressed an interest in signing Declan Rice before he sealed a move to Arsenal.

He then missed out on Fulham's Joao Palinha on deadline day, along with Southampton defender Armel Bella-Kotchap, who joined Dutch side PSV on loan instead.

Whilst they also failed to land Chelsea centre-back Tevoh Chalobah, who had reportedly agreed a move to the Allianz Arena.

Speaking after his side's slender 2-1 victory over Borussia Monchengladbach on Saturday, Tuchel told reporters: "The squad is a bit thin, a bit small. We have six trained defensive players for a four-man chain, which is perfect."

His comments have clearly struck a nerve with the Bundesliga club's hierarchy, who have allegedly described the German's transfer demands as "erratic".

That's according to German news outlet BILD, who state that Tuchel's "repeated negative statements" have annoyed Bayern bosses who believe his public demands are wearing thin.

The report adds that Tuchel's behaviour during the summer window has been described as "erratic" internally, with the endless list of names tabled by the 50-year-old deemed "too creative".

One of the club's issues revolved around Tuchel's efforts to sign Rice, when those around him felt Kane should be the priority.

It is also said that Bayern bosses were hoping that Tuchel would be "more clear" about the type of goalkeeper he was keen to sign, in an attempt to seek cover for the injured Manuel Neuer.

The Bavarian giants eventually settled on Israel international Daniel Peretz, with Bono, Kepa Arrizabalaga and Robert Sanchez also discussed as alternative options.
