Bruno Fernandes was in fine form as he helped Manchester United secure a much needed win over arch rivals Liverpool.
However, his gamesmanship did not go down well with the Liverpool fans.
Erik ten Hag’s side were leading 2-0 when Jurgen Klopp’s side got back into the game thanks to a Mohamed Salah header in the 81st minute.

Immediately after the goal, Liverpool players were trying to get the ball back in order to save time. However, Fernandes refused to let the ball go as he held onto it for a long while, and reacted dramatically after Salah got close to him.
This rattled fans in the ground but also across Liverpool, the video was filmed in a pub full of Liverpool fans.
The fans were heard shouting towards the screen, demanding Fernandes be sent off as he was already on a yellow card.

Fernandes got away with it as referee Michael Oliver took no further action.
United eventually held on for a vital win as they won their first points of the 22/23 season.
As a result, they leapfrogged Liverpool in the league table to 14th place, whilst Klopp’s Reds are still waiting for their first win of the season, they are currently in 16th place.

After the game, Klopp eluded to the club’s ever growing injury list.
He told Sky Sports: “It's obvious we are in a tricky situation injury wise, we get through the week with 14-15 senior players available, we have to make sure none of them get injured because there's no real options left any more.
“Even with our situation, but playing a little bit better, if we were a little more convinced about what we do we should've won this game. I know it sounds ridiculous, but that's how I see it.”

On the other hand, Ten Hag was impressed with his players’ attitude.
He said: “We can talk about tactical but it is all about attitude. There was communication and a fighting spirit.
“I wanted a different approach and a different attitude and that is what they brought on the pitch. It is only a start. We can play with much more composure and much more danger. Be a team and have a good spirit - and that is what we saw today.”
