Brazil legend Pele has been re-admitted to hospital after developing swelling all over his body, heart issues and mental confusion, according to reports.
The 82-year-old, who is currently undergoing treatment for cancer, had a tumor removed from his colon in September 2021 and has since been in and out of hospital for treatment on a regular basis.
On Tuesday, he was taken to the Albert Einstein hospital in Sao Paulo, where medical staff confirmed "general swelling", say ESPN Brasil.

In addition to the above, medics also identified "decompensated heart failure" when attempting to diagnose his swelling.
Pele arrived "very restless" and was diagnosed with mental confusion. He reportedly has difficulties feeding himself.
The report added that chemotherapy carried out over the last few months has not shown any responses to the tumors present in various organs of Pele's body.

A more in-depth assessment of the problems detected and the organs compromised by the metastatic cancer will take place on Wednesday. They hope to identify the organs compromised by the cancer in testing.
Tests will also evaluate the possibility of the occurrence of a hepatic encephalopathy.
Pele's daughter, Kely Nascimento, there was "no surprise or emergency" involved in the hospital trip.
