A goalkeeper has gone viral after getting his girlfriend's name wrong in an interview.
Kainan starred for Esperanca in their Copa da Paz match against Vic Vic and was named Man of the Match for his display in between the sticks.
He was whisked in for a post-match interview afterwards and that's where his big gaffe was made. The majority of the chat went swimmingly but at the very end he was asked about whether he wanted to give a tribute to someone in his life.

He responded: "To my girlfriend, who's working now, Thank God, otherwise I wouldn't be here. Grazi, a hug to you!"
That all seemed fine, except that isn't the name of Kainan's other half. He then quickly realised his error and his face was one of shock horror, though plenty of laughs were shared.
"I said the wrong name!" Kainan said.
"Jucielly... I said the wrong name of my girl... am serious! I am serious! I am going to get beaten up at home... [laughs]"

We're intrigued to know how Jucielly reacted to the slip of the tongue but can't imagine it went down particularly well.
In 2017, a footballer in South Africa went viral after thanking his wife and girlfriend in an interview.
Ghanaian Mohammed Anas made the huge cock-up after playing for Free State Stars and being named Man of the Match following a 2-2 draw with Ajax Cape Town.

He made a huge backtrack, however, and claims that when he said girlfriend, he was referring to his daughter.
"My family knows that I call my daughter my girlfriend. That's what I was talking about. I don't have a girlfriend," he told The BBC.
|I love her so much. She's given me two beautiful children. She is fine. She knows what kind of man I am so I am not worried.
"I'm famous now - people around the world know me."
