Manchester United first-team coach Benni McCarthy told fans that he has managed to put Marcus Rashford “in the right place” after the England star’s stunning run of form.
Rashford, who is out of contract with United in 2024, has been on a scintillating goalscoring rampage since representing England at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
The 25-year-old United forward has scored an impressive 17 times in 18 matches for the Red Devils after a remarkable turnaround under Erik ten Hag this season.

United are keen for Rashford to commit his long-term future to the club after being in the form of his life, with Paris Saint-Germain heavily linked with the player.
McCarthy arrived at Old Trafford last summer as part of Ten Hag’s coaching staff, with the lifelong supporter widely credited with helping Rashford this season.
Footage has now emerged (watch it in the video player above) of the United first-team coach signing autographs for eager fans outside Old Trafford.

A selfless McCarthy can be heard crediting United’s success to Ten Hag this season, as well as speaking about putting the in-form Rashford into the right mindset.
Speaking ahead of United’s 2-2 draw against Barcelona at the Camp Nou last week, Ten Hag insisted that Rashford has “so many skills” and “such high potential.”
The United boss explained: “I don’t know [if his scoring] will stop, but he has to go from game to game and during the week do the right things.
“I think as a manager, as a coaching staff, we have to push them but finally it comes from the player. When he loses focus, then the scoring will stop. Clear.

“He has so many skills, such high potential and I think there can be even more. When he works well, he will even score more goals because he can score with his left, right and his head.”
