The A-League community is in mourning following the sudden passing of Macarthur Bulls captain Ulises Davila’s wife Lily.
At this time, the cause of death has not been revealed.
She was just 31 years of age.

“We are saddened to hear Ulises Davila’s wife Lily has tragically passed away overnight,” Macarthur said in a statement.
“The club would like to express its heartfelt condolences to Uli, Uli Jnr and the extended family during this difficult time.”
Fans and players of rival teams have taken to social to pay tribute to Lily, while sending messages of support to Ulises and the family during this tough time.

Recently-crowned A-League champions Western United said in a statement: “We are so sorry to hear this devastating news. Everyone at Western United passes on their deepest condolences to Ulises and his family.”
Brisbane Roar tweeted: “All of us at Brisbane Roar FC send our deepest condolences. We are sorry to hear this terrible news.”
While his former club sent their condolences: "The Wellington Phoenix are saddened to hear the news that Ulises Dávila’s wife Lily has passed away. Uli & his whānau will always be a part of ours.
"We would like to send our deepest condolences to Uli & his family during this tough time. Kia kaha."
Since signing with the Wellington Phoenix back in 2019, Davila has quickly become one of the A-League's most exciting players.

Davila won for the Johnny Warren Medal for the 2020/21 season before joining Macarthur the following campaign.
In his first season with the Bulls, he was named captain and went on to become the team's top goalscorer.
He was voted members' player of the year.
