Atletico Madrid are out of Europe COMPLETELY, finish bottom of Group B

Atletico Madrid are out of Europe COMPLETELY following their crushing defeat to Porto.

Diego Simeone's team suffered a 2-1 at Porto as Medhi Taremi and Stephen Eustáquio scored for the hosts on Tuesday.

Bayer Leverkusen earning a point against Club Brugge means the La Liga side finish BOTTOM of Group B.

Porto clinch top spot ahead of Club Brugge, with Leverkusen securing a spot in the Europa League.

Atletico are rooted to the bottom of Group B, having lost to Leverkusen, Club Brugge and Porto during the group stage round.

They won't be competing in Europe for the remainder of the season, having won just one group stage game in the Champions League.

Atletico, who are currently third in La Liga, will be hoping to secure qualification for next season's Champions League with a top four finish.

Antoine Griezmann, who started up front, told reporters after the match: "We did not deserve to reach the last 16 or even the Europa League, time to shut our mouths, work, and fight."
