Arsenal could make a £56million plus cash deal for Netherlands full-back Denzel Dumfries, according to a report.
Mikel Arteta’s side entered the World Cup break in impressive form. The Gunners sit top of the Premier League, some five points from last season’s champions Manchester City.
Arsenal will be hoping to do some business in January, to sustain their title challenge to the end of the season.

One player who’s been linked with a move to the Emirates is Dumfries, who has starred at right-back for Louis Van Gaal’s Netherlands side in Qatar.
Indeed, the Inter Milan defender - who was named after Oscar-winning actor Denzel Washington - was the architect behind the USMNT 3-1 round-of-16 defeat on Saturday.
The full-back provided two assists and scored the Netherlands’ crucial third goal, to extinguish any chance of a comeback for Gregg Berhalter’s side.
After the World Cup, Dumfries, who has been labelled “amazing” by co-commentary maestro Ally McCoist, could see his impressive international performances earn him a Premier League move.
Dumfries to Arsenal?
Italian publication Calciomercatoweb claim Arsenal could make a bid for Dumfries next summer with Takehiro Tomiyasu joining Inter Milan in a player-plus-cash deal.

Dumfries has struggled at Inter, with his performances for the Serie A giants not as dazzling at right-back as his Inter predecessor Achraf Hakimi.
According to the report, Arsenal are ready to make a bid for the Netherlands international and will meet Inter’s demands for the player.
The Gunners will reportedly bid £34.5 million and allow Tomiyasu to go the other way, in a deal that would be worth £56million.
However, 90min claimed that Tottenham have made an enquiry for the 26-year-old.
