Bukayo Saka showed his class once again as Arsenal sealed qualification for the Europa League knockout stage with a victory against PSV.
A goal from midfielder Granit Xhaka in the 71st minute was enough to seal a 1-0 win for Mikel Arteta’s side. This result leaves them guaranteed a place in the last 32, however, if they collect one point from their next fixture they will be straight through to the last 16.
Despite Xhaka being the match-winner, it was winger Saka who earned plaudits from fans after he produced a stunning performance against a tough PSV side.

The 21-year-old was electric from the get-go as he was a vital part of Arsenal’s attack. Time after time, Saka was driving towards the PSV defence, taking his full backs on and creating chances for his teammates.
If it wasn’t for a decent performance from PSV goalkeeper Walter Benitez, Saka would have come away with at least one goal and an assist.
Arteta decided to take Saka off in the 85th minute and the winger was given a standing ovation by the Emirates crowd.

Fans reacted to Saka’s performance on social media, with fans even comparing him to Argentina legend, Lionel Messi.
One fan said: “He plays just a bit like an Argentine playing in Paris.”
Another tweeted: “Fouled, and kicked, Saka still can dribble past players with ease. Neymar/Messi esque, it’s world-class quality we’ve seen from him today.”
A third fan added: “Not even joking. I don’t think there’s a footballer more similar to a young Messi than our Saka.”

There were fears that Saka had picked up an injury during the PSV match. After the game, Arsenal boss Arteta spoke about Saka’s injury.
He said: “Yeah, he got a kick, he was limping a bit but hopefully, he will be fine.”
It has been a scintillating start to the 22/23 campaign for the Gunners as they are sitting top of the Premier League with 27 points, four points ahead of Manchester City.
