Prominent journalist Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Arsenal could still launch a late bid to sign Liverpool target Moises Caicedo in the January transfer window.
Arsenal have been linked with a move for the Brighton star, who has impressed throughout the current Premier League season.
The Ecuador international has made 18 Premier League appearances for the Seagulls, filling the role vacated by Yves Bissouma, who left the club to join Tottenham.

Chelsea are also keen on signing the 21-year-old this month, and had a £55 million bid rejected for him last week. However, the Daily Mail claim that the Blues are set to launch an improved offer for his services.
And according to Sky Sports, Liverpool are one of three teams who haven't given up hope on signing the midfielder.
The other club who are interested in bringing in Caicedo in January is the Gunners, as Mikel Arteta looks to bolster his midfield.

The Spaniard said yesterday: "We need some more cover in midfield ideally if we can. In this market it's difficult to do that. There are concerns. Elneny is injured so let's see."
It appears that Caicedo is still very much on Arsenal's radar.
Arsenal keen on Caicedo
The Gunners have completed two pieces of January business so far, bringing in Leandro Trossard from Brighton and Jakub Kiwior from Spezia on long-term contracts.

Trossard made his Arsenal debut in the 3-2 win over Manchester United on Sunday, and impressed during his 14-minute cameo.
The north London club attempted to complete a £88 million deal to sign Mykhailo Mudryk, but the player moved to Chelsea.
Romano claims that, having completed two signings for under half of the proposed Mudryk fee, there is still the option for the Gunners to complete a third signing to aid their Premier League title challenge.
Speaking to CaughtOffside, he said: "I wouldn't exclude anything happening in the final days, after last summer they tried on Deadline Day for [Aston Villa midfielder] Douglas Luiz out of nothing.

"Let's see for Caicedo, it's important to underline that Brighton have no intention to sell unless they receive an important bid. Arsenal are informed on the player's side."
The Times claimed on Tuesday that Brighton would demand £100 million to sell the Ecuador international, and it remains to be seen whether Arsenal would be willing to submit a bid that comes close to that valuation.
