Arsenal star Martin Odegaard is set to be offered a huge pay rise amid interest from Liverpool, according to reports.
The Gunners have had an electric start to the season and currently sit at top of the Premier League table, five points clear of last season's champions Manchester City.
A large part of their success has been down to Norwegian midfield maestro Odegaard. The 24-year-old has already scored seven goals and claimed five assists this term, all while captaining the side.

His performances have led to some speculation over his future. Namely, Liverpool, the club Odegaard supported as a boy, have been linked with a move for the player.
It appears Arsenal are making moves to reward Odegaard for his performances.
Arsenal to offer Odegaard huge wage increase
While Odegaard’s current deal runs until June 2025, Arsenal sporting director Edu Gaspar reportedly wants to reward the player’s top-class performances by almost doubling his wages.

According to TEAMtalk, the Norway international earns €6million (around £5.3million) per year at the moment.
However, if he accepts the Gunners’ new deal he would take home some €10million (around £8.8million) a year, which works out at just over £170,000 per week.
This would make Odegaard the third-highest earner at Arsenal, behind Gabriel Jesus and Thomas Partey.
Odegaard responds to Liverpool link
Odegaard insists that Liverpool would have to make an “incredibly good offer” to tempt him to leave Arsenal.

Speaking to Norwegian broadcaster NRK in December the Arsenal midfielder said (via Metro): “There is not much that can lure me away from here. I have a very good time here.
“The way it is now, I can see myself being here for several years.
“I want to do something special here. Take part in shaping the club and winning things. That is the big goal. The plan is certainly to be here for a while.
“I’ve moved a lot over the years. Landing a bit and feeling like I’m in a place where I’m going to be, that’s a good feeling. Hopefully, I will be here for many years.

“When I came here, I really felt at home from day one. I was received very well, everything was very natural. I felt like part of the team and the group from the start, so it felt very good to come here.
“Very nice people in the club. People who care about you and who really want you to succeed. Who really tries to do their part for you to succeed. And who have a bit of the same passion that I have, I feel, to really get better and work on things then. It was a good match right away.”
