Arsenal have been linked with a surprise swap deal involving star winger Gabriel Martinelli, and Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappe. It would cost the Gunners a significant sum of money.
Martinelli has been crucial to the Gunners’ success the season, having netted five times and provided two assists to help Arsenal climb to the top of the Premier League.
The Brazilian’s performances have been so impressive, that he has earned himself an unlikely call-up to Tite’s World Cup squad.

Meanwhile, Mbappe continues to stake his claim as the world’s best player. the 23-year-old has netted three times in as many games for France at the World Cup. Moreover, he has scored 19 goals in 20 appearances for PSG in all competitions this term.
Mbappe to Arsenal?
According to Calciomercato, PSG are considering a move for Martinelli, who is under contract at Arsenal until 2024.
While the club are considering offering the Brazilian a new long-term deal, it is claimed that PSG are willing to test the Gunners’ resolve with a €60million (£51.8million) bid for Martinelli, who only joined Arsenal for £6million in 2019 from Brazilian side Ituano.

The report adds that Arsenal could ambitiously attempt to explore the possibility of a swap deal with Mbappe, who is believed to be unhappy at PSG.
The France international has been strongly linked with a move away from Paris, just months after signing a three-year deal at the Parc des Princes and turning down a lucrative move to Real Madrid.
However, if Arsenal were to sign Mbappe they would have to pay an enormous fee, even if Martinelli is involved in any swap deal.
A CIES Football Observatory study claims Mbappe is the third most valuable player at the World Cup with a transfer valuation of £162million.
