Kai Havertz was always going to be a tough sell for some Arsenal fans, and their minds won't have been entirely swayed by the German's underwhelming display in Poland on Friday night (17 June).
The Chelsea man has reportedly been the subject of a bid from Arsenal in recent days, with manager Mikel Arteta thought to be very keen to add him to his squad.
With speculation rife over Arsenal's interest in Havertz, many Gunners fans were keen to watch the man of the moment play live, and they got that opportunity on Friday night as Germany faced off against Poland in a friendly match.

The 24-year-old may have started as Die Mannschaft's sole striker in the game, but as the video below demonstrates, it was hardly an eye-catching display from the former Bayer Leverkusen man - who failed to score in a 1-0 defeat. Judge for yourself.
As you might expect, many Arsenal fans flooded the replies to offer their opinion on Havertz, who could be wearing their club's famous red and white kit next season.

One unimpressed fan weighed in by commenting: "If Arteta somehow buys this guy, I'd know he's not a serious coach."
Another pointedly remarked: "MIKEL ARTETA DONT DO THIS PLEASE."
Others, while not bowled over by the compilation of Havertz, did at least urge caution, using the fanbase's disapproval of Aaron Ramsdale before he signed from Sheffield United as a comparion.
The fan wrote on Twitter: "I know we're all collectively wrong on Ramsdale, but I'm really struggling to see the value for money here."

Suffice to say, Chelsea aren't willing to let the German leave the club on the cheap - especially not to a rival club.
Earlier this week, reports suggested that Chelsea had rejected Arsenal's opening offer, with TalkSPORT claiming the Blues could command a fee of £75 million for Havertz - which would surely be too steep for Arsenal.
Arteta's desire to land the Chelsea man could be helped by his unwillingness to sign a new deal with his current club.

Should a fee be agreed between the two London clubs, personal terms aren't thought to be a stumbling block, with the player open to a new challenge.
While Havertz's return of 19 goals from 91 Premier League games is nothing exceptional, Arteta clearly sees something that many of his club's fanbase doesn't just yet.
